You be able to write a SQL statement like below and then execute:

UPDATE users
SET IsSuperUser = 1
WHERE username = 'UserName'

I am wondering if the reason I cannot make some changes but can make others may be due to SQL Management studio permissions.
Permissions Properties for the DB have a value "Alter any dataspace which like all the others in the list is unchecked.

The cells I want to edit are all read only ?

HI Patrick -

Thanks for all your effort with this

Just seen your last post.  Not sure how I would run this or where from. Am now at the limit of my working inside the DB ability.

I'm really not sure, you should be able to just execute in SQL Query Analyzer within Management Studio.
