Hello,

I am using DNN Community version 6.01.01.  I am using a slightly modified version of the Dark Knight skin for the site.  I would like to use the DDR Menu as a module in the right pane of all pages to present vertical navigation to the child pages of the current page.

I do not understand how to set the module settings to make this work.  I have the Node Selection Expression set to CurrentChildren.  I believe the only other setting I need to specify is the Menu Style.  I have tried many different values for this but cannot get it to work.  When I leave this setting blank I see the text "Please specify the menu style in settings" where the menu should be.  I believe the name of the menudef file for the dark knight mega menu is dnnmega-menudef.xml.  My skin file is installed at the Host level, not at the Portal level.

What value should I specify for Menu Style to make this work?

Thank you for any help!

Hi Steve,

You must set a Menu style (Treeview, Superfish, Accordion, etc) at the very least, which will display the root pages of the site. I very rarely set anything other than a Menu style and Node selection expression.

Have you installed the various templates? See http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/DDRMenu-templates.aspx

These can be downloaded from CodePlex http://dnnddrmenutemplates.codeplex.com/

Hope that helps!

Hi again, Steve, I forgot to say what you should be typing in the Menu style field to use the Mega Menu, which I believe should be DNNMega.

Entering DNNMega for the Menu Style got me going. Thank you!

If I want to try one of the other templates available on codeplex, do I just enter the name of it (assuming that is the name I give the folder within the skin where i place the template) for the menu style?

I'm looking to do a very simple vertical menu, like what the links module does, but driven by the existing navigation data. Do you have a recommendation about what the best template would be to try? The ULRazor one seemed like it might be a good starting point.

Thanks again for your help.
