If you really want to use Core Language Specific Pages:
1. make sure not having modules displayed on all pages
2. make a backup of your site
3. make sure, your backup works
4. in Host > Host Settings enable "Content Localization"
5. In Admin > Languages, enable content localization for your site. This will clone all pages and modules. If the process stucks, restore your backup.
6. go to page settings for each page and adjust translation status
7. translate all content
Good Luck!

Hello Sebastian,

Thanks for the info. I followed your steps and implemented the 2nd language. My questions is that when I am logged in, I can see the flags at the top, but when I log out and I access the site, I do not see the flags.

Am I missing a token on the skin?

Thanks

most likely the second language is not published (in Admin > Languages) or the page is not published in second language (see page settings).

Thanks Sebastian,

All done. The site is working fine - www.sizinos.com and may I say what an easy way to implement the bilingual functionality.

One more question, I use the form and list module for the contact form - http://www.sizinos.com/ru-ru/обратная.aspx - how can I translate the Submit, Cance; buttons and also the text Required?

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks
