Hi,

The best approach I would suggest you is to go for LSP, mainly due to the fact that, it is controlled by DNN and keeps on updating over coming months. Any bugs or feature-requests, would be hopefully managed and accommodated by DNN.

For your localized content, I would suggest you to go for PackFlash Constellation. It is an awesome product by PackFlash and very recently they have focus much more on content-localization.

From your words about 11 languages, I feel that PackFlash and DNN (using LSP) work quite well together.

Some third-party modules cannot be too much reliable, just like an example given above in the thread. So it is still at risk if you go for localization completely depending on a third-party provider.

The best practices can never be determined until the actual usage of the DNN site is analysed. But based on my practices and experience, I would suggest you to go for DNN + PackFlash.

Very thanks  Ravi!

I've no yet worked around LSP, is it a module? or is it a provider inside DNN basic installation?

Can you give me some link to learn about?

Thanks!

Scippy, LSP means "Language Specific Pages", the localization option built into DNN as "Content Localization". I wrote about it above including some pros and cons. I would be careful using it on larger websites with 11 languages enabled.

Hi,
Would you plz see this page.We need to have the special feature used in this portal
http://www.modares.ac.ir/en/Schools/eng/academic-staff
If you click on the word"فارسی"
at the top right side of the page(Banner) the page goes directly to the translated page in other language!(same content) not the home page in other language.
In organization where I am working, the administration decided to have the portal in 5 languages.
How can I create this feature in our DNN portals?
By pressing the other language link, the other page with the translation of the same content loads! And Not the home page of the portal in other language.
Would you please be kind and help me finding a solution in order to have this feature in our DNN portals?
Thanks

pouya,
implementation depends on your needs and the modules you'd like to use. You may either use LSP or Apollo PageLocalization/DSLocalizator, both will provide deep linked langauge switching, i.e. you will get redirected to translated version of the same content - LSP is using a page and module copies per language, while PageLocalization and DSLocalization are using the same page with translated properties and require multilingual modules to be used.
