I followed the tutorial explicitly, and thought I was doing fairly well, until I started getting some security errors on the iis/wwwroot/dotnetnuke directory permission.  I rebooted then was able to set the permissions on that directory.  Checked a few files, and this time, it seemed to work (system added permissions for all of the files in the directory by adding the User - DefaultAppPool),  But when I fire up the browser and enter http://localhost/dotnetnuke, this is what it grumbles... help!

please make sure you do NOT have ANY file name web.config in a subdirectory of your DNN installation.

Check to ensure that you have a site set up for this DNN install within IIS. That message normally implies that there isn't one.

Thank you -- that took me a little closer.   Now the message I get is:

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging. To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:4.0.30319; ASP.NET Version:4.0.30319.272

----- ----- ----- ----- ----- -----

It looks like the file being specified could be the web.config file?   That's the only thing I changed (I changed web.config to web.config.save).  I did search the Registry for the HKLM ... Fusion!Enable value and ... that value is not being set anywhere in the registry.
