I have a DNN site (currently at 06.01.02), running on a Windows 2008 Server, that I have had set up for over a year  using SSL. I had a GoDaddy standard SSL certificate for the host name support.lssc.k12.in.us.

I recently switched to a GoDaddy wildcard certificate using the domain *.lssc.k12.in.us. I imported the wildcard certificate into IIS7 and bound it to the IP address for the website.

This worked for a week or so but then I I started getting a web page that stated that my certificate had been revoked and I was unable to access my site. When I viewed the certificate form the browser I had to manually edit the TABs table in SQL Server and change all of the IsSecure fields to false in order to get back into my site.

Now I have disabled SSL on the site but I want to enable it as soon as I can resolve the issue. Is it not possible o run DNN using a wildcard certificate? If it is possible, can you tell me or point me to a tech note that explains how I should install a wildcard certificate so DNN will recognize it?

I have the wildcard certificate working on other IIS7 websites at my facility but this is the only one using DNN.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Dave

This is the web page error I got when I tried to access the page with SSL enabled.

The server's security certificate is revoked!
You attempted to reach support.lssc.k12.in.us, but the certificate that the server presented has been revoked by its issuer. This means that the security credentials the server presented absolutely should not be trusted. You may be communicating with an attacker.
You cannot proceed because the website operator has requested heightened security for this domain.
