Looks like log4net caught an error ... any suggestions?

Let's forget the log ... what I found was a True/Falsefield in the User Profiles that was causing the error in the log ... for some reason it was blowing up the control that does truefalse fields ... I've removed that field, but that hasn't corrected the problem w/ adding roles to users ...

There's some odd behavior ... if I unsuccessfully add a role and then go to the Manage User Credentials I get an arrow on each field that says it's required, even though the field is properly populated.

What I have found is rather than hit the edit button for a user at Admin/User Accounts and then go to Manage Roles for this User, if I go directtly to it via the icon for 'Manage Roles', all was well i.e., I can add roles to the user.

glad you find a workaround, could you please log it as a bug to support.dotnetnuke.com (mention this forum post in the description) so we can fix the issue.

Cathal,

On a whim, I changed the Page State Persistence to 'Page' ... the problem now doesn't exist ... to test I changed a 6.2.0 instance, that previously did not have the problem, from 'Page' to 'Memory' and replicated the issue ... yep, it looks like we need the 'Page' setting ... not sure what the other effects of that are.
