Hi every one.

I've created an html file as a skin for my website template. when I browse it, it looks good on all IE, Firefox, and Chrome; but the problem is when I convert it and copy its body content into an .ascx file in order to have a DNN skin, it looks bad on IE and different from the html file. I've checked and found one thing that might be the problem. Think of the following code:

line1
<div id="ContentPane" runat="server" class="myClass" ></div>
line2

You know, when there is nothing in div, its width and height falls to 0 and actually is omitted from the page. The result would be some thing like this:

line1
line2

But when I copy it in a .ascx file and use my skin in a page it looks like the following in IE:

line1

line2

As you saw, there is one line space between two lines. What should I do? I really appreciate every answer.

Most likely ypu have another issue.

I guess the generated skin is not using an xhtml of html5 doctype.
This causes all kinds of rendering issues in IE.
You need to include an xml file to set the doctype.
