The web Plateform installer : http://www.microsoft.com/web/download..., then, once installed, select and install the DotNetNuke application.

Hi Julien,

thanks for helping, but ...

As I setup the (virtual) server month ago, I also installed the IIS role. But all the nice features of IIS were missing, as I am not an expert for web servers, I think, after installation I will get everything I need.

Starting the WebPlatformInstaller, or dotnetnuke_iis, this programs found IIS 7.5 up and running and skip the integrated installation procedure ... nice idea.

During installation some of this IIS features were needed and so my installation fails. Fortunately, the log tells me nothing about that.

As I found out, that my IIS acts like a Zombie, I quickly add all the features, step by step and now, the installation wizard of DNN pops up.

Heureka.

I think, you have to start out with a plain server installation, without any role and than the wizard will do his job fine.

Thanks for helping and pointing me to that installation wizards I former never heared about.

With best regards

Gerhard
