Just updating:
I had started work on this module but it will take more time than expected.
The module needs to be converted to a web application project, converted to c# and have is build process updated even before trying to fix anything. I prioritized the modules already on Github, but it is still in my todo list, so keep watch on github.

To be honest, I am not sure, whether it makes sense to convert this module.

IMO it would be more useful adding functions to Documents and/or Form&List module.

I agree but I would like at least for people to be able to upgrade Dnn and keep this module content, maybe we can at least make it upgradable and make some migration scripts to keep the data and bring it into a form&list or documents module... Something to think about...

Daniel, I love your support for all the old modules - but you may also consider providing migration paths from one to another in order to be able to drop some.

Repository would be a candidate (in favour of Documents or FnL) as well as DNN Forums in favour of Active Forums.

Absolutely agree with that, but I think we need to bring them compatible with current Dnn version and provide clear instructions. I also think that any replacement should be open source too and be hosted on dnncommunity organization. The last think I want is to abandon them again and just show another module, I would like as much as possible for people to be able to keep their old data within that new replacement module. One example is Forums -> Active Forums, I know there was a migration script somewhere but for the life of me I cannot find it anymore. I have contacted Jason Brunkens on github and on the form at http://activeforums.org/ but did not get a reply yet.
