CDale - go here and read this post first.  Then replicate using your starterkit and VS/VWDE.

I don't have time for that.

This is what it says on the home page for this website:

"Easily Installed – DotNetNuke can be up-and-running within minutes.  One must simply download the software from DotNetNuke.com, and follow the installation instructions."

It did not show me any "installation instructions".

Please show me where it says a course in computer basics is required to use this software.

Had I read anything telling me I need to take a course in computer basics before I could install this software, I would not have made any attempts to use it. You need to go read the promotional material in this website before you get terse with people who come here for help.

If you have any questions - post them before getting too frustrated.  Make sure you note the following in your post:

- OS for install: is it WinXP Pro, Win2000, Win2003, other (say what if so)

- Dev tools: VS 2003, VS 2005, Visual Web Developer Express (free)

- SQL Server Version: SQL Express (free and installed part of VS2005/VWDE), SQLSrv 2000, SQLSrv 2005

It can be up and running as stated in the information.  My last install of 4.3.0 using the install.zip or starter kit (can't remember which one was last) took around 5 minutes - while watching a movie at 11PM on the couch.  But it is not an installation package like most "software" - as your post tends to read.  You have to do some configuring.

Good luck
