One of our clients lost the ability to log onto their site.  When you go to their login page there are no login form fields.  We are not sure how this occurred.  Is there any way to fix this problem directly in the SQL database rather than reinstalling DNN?  Also do you have any idea of how the login could disappear from the login page?

Any help appreciated.

this sounds very strange, does same happen when accessing /login.aspx directly?
Which DNN version is the site running, what has been changed lately?

Cheers from Germany,

Actually that is the only page that has the Account Login form on it on their site.  I should have been clearer. It is the login.aspx page that is missing the form fields for Username and Password.  I have no idea how this happened or how it could happen. I'm looking for a solution that does not require me to reinstall DNN because I don't want the client to lose all the work they've done on the site. I'm familiar with SQL and am willing to make whatever changes are necessary directly in the database but even after comparing another site that has the login working properly and this one I can't see what to change. I found the Account Login module in the ModuleDefinitions table in the SQL database for the problem site. I also determined that there are no records in the Modules table with the corresponding ModuleDefID for the Account Login module. I even checked the generated html on the login.aspx page to make sure that the fields really weren't there and it wasn't just a problem with their being invisible because of some CSS setting. But the fields weren't there. Seems strange.

Any help very much appreciated.

I forgot to indicate the version of DNN. The site is using DNN 5.

We recently made a change to another application on the server that we are interfacing with thru a custom DNN module.  As far as any other changes that were recently made to the site go... we didn't make any but the client may have.  Can't get a straight answer from them.

please check, whether there is a logintabid stored in portals or portallocalization table for this website and replace the id by Null
