Upgrade from DNN484 to DNN623

I have a working website based on DNN484.
I will build a new website based on DNN623 with all the old website content.
The new DNN623 website will be on another domain.
At the end of this process, I will have 2 websites -
One old website on the old domain - based on DNN484.
Second website on a new domain with the same content as the old website - based on DNN623.

Now, I will delete the old website files and MSSQL and transfer the new one files and MSSQL to the old domain.
How do I tell the new website to work on the old domain instead the new domain?

Create a new IIS website with dedicated app pool using same version of .Net (preferable 4.0), as on your dev machine. You may bind it to a temporary domain address (like test.myweb.com, which needs to be added to the name server).
Prior to transferring all files, you need to add test domain address as portal alias in Admin > Site Settings.
Transfer database (if necessary) and all files and adjust both database connection strings in web.config to match the new database name and location. Make sure, you adjust properly file system and sql server permissions.
Test the website by calling test.myweb.com. if it works properly, add address of your original website as portal alias in Admin > Site Settings. Also remove binding for this address from original IIS website and add it to your new one. This should result in minimal downtime and make sure, you can easily revert, if facing any issues.

I think you didn't understand me.

I am not going to copy my old files and MSSQL DB to the new website.
The new website will be a fresh install of DNN623.
I will transfer manually all the content I have in my old DNN484 to the new DNN623 website.
The oldwebsite will be on - www.OneDomain.com based on DNN484.
The new one will be on - www.SecondDomain.com based on DNN623.
They both will be on the production server.

Then I will delete the old wesbite from www.OneDomain.com  .
Now I will need to transfer the new website to www.OneDomain.com .

How do I transfer www.SecondDomain.com to work on www.OneDomain.com?
The question is -
How do I transfer DNN623 from one domain to work on another domain?

Nir,

I will try to explain it in slightly different terms.

You do not transfer the site, you point your domain name at the folder where 623 is installed and , as Sebastien said, you add the OneDomain to the Alias list for your portal.

So now you have OneDomain and TwoDomain both pointed at the same 623 install, just point TwoDomain somewhere else.
