I am creating a family website for my family, and using the repository module so members may upload files for others to download. It seems I am having a little difficulty uploading larger files.

Whenever I tried to upload this 16 meg file, it eventually just goes to "Page not Found". Is there a max upload size, and if there is, is there a way to work around it?

This problem is mentioned a few times in the forum but I'll answer it again as the search function can be confusing/tempermental.

The Repository uses DNN's httpRuntime settings and by default it's set to 8MB. To change it you need to edit your web.config. Search for the line that starts with <httpRuntime and change maxRequestLength="8192" to whatever value you need (eg. 16MB would be 16384 (16*1024)). You may also have to add an executionTimeout="x" where x=seconds to the same line so that the asp.NET process doesn't timeout before the upload is done.
