I never got back to the RC version, but my daughter called last night with a new 7.0 installation (on a machine that previously had a 6.x installation).

Replacing:
With:

in web.config got her installation working normally.

I just want to add some extra information here.

I have exact the same installation in two machines. One is Windows 2003 and the other Windows 2008. After the upgrade none of the two was working in edit mode.

I did the change in the web.config (runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true") and the Windows 2008 mashine is working now, but not the Windows 2003.

The problem is that IIS6 doesn't recognize the URL http://server/portal/DesktopModules/internalservices/API/controlbar/ToggleUserMode and it gives a 404 error.

Any ideas what is missing from IIS6 configuration so it can handles this URL correctly?

@jded : IIS6 is not supported for DNN 7. The minimum install configuration is IIS7 and ASP.NET 4.0.

Bruce where I can read that? I couldn't find anywhere the minimum requirements. The only I found is this (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/D...) and IIS6 is supported...

And I finally fix it. I added in the virtual directory settings the "Wildcard Application Maps" to c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll and now I can go in Edit Mode.

Hope this will help anyone else too.
