To set your site to 'runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests', here's what you need to do :

1. backup your web.config

2. Open your web.config in a text editor

3. within the web.config file, find the section.

4. If the section says change it to
OR
if it just says , change it to

5. Save the config file.

6. Retry by refreshing the page and trying again. You can also test this out by trying to a do a journal post (which also uses the services framework in an authenticated way.

SwapnilMn , DotNetNuke requires you to use Microsofts Internet information server (IIS) webserver - we have never tested running DotNetNuke under alternative webservers such as NGinx , and to my knowledge we have no plans to test/support DotNetNuke under NGinx (at least not in the short-term)

Just to let you know that POWER DNN found the issue and managed to solve the problem (as a remember, the problem is still present with DNN 7 latest public patch).

Change: 'runtAllManagedModuleForAllRequests' from false to true

And it works !!!!
Well done, thanks a lot POWERDNN !!!

I'm having the same problem. I tried setting the web.config value and also the edit bar to ribbon bar. Neither worked. I ended up setting the edit bar to Classic and I can at least edit my modules.

I tried putting in a ticket to PowerDNN and they curtly said "We don't support upgrades that you've done yourself". Thanks a lot PowerDNN...

Anyone know how i can tell if my server is running IIS 7?

And now I realize that I don't have an Admin or Host menu on my page so I can't even change anything back!! Help!!
