Hi, I had the problem on the previous beta version after installing/uninstalling some modules. Apparently, the uninstaller of a module (don't know which one) also deleted that assembly...

Haven't had the isssue with the RC though (at least so far).

On a clean install of DNN7RC, trying to go to Edit Page results in a redirect to the home page -- from any page. Same trying to get to Layout Mode.

Selecting Edit Page posts to /DesktopModules/internalservices/API/controlbar/ToggleUserMode and that results in a 401 Unauthorized error.

So, it looks like trying to get to Edit Page or Layout gives an authorization error which explains why it bounces me back to the home page.

I'm logged in as host when this happens.

It's on a local machine.

Should it matter, I'm using DNN7RC.dnndev.me as the domain on the local machine.

Switching to RibbonBar gives me something that works.

Hello Joe,

I'm not seeing that in my local install -can you please set log4net to All to capture additional diagnostics (service initialisation and errors are recorded there) - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...

I'll go and do that.

In the meantime, I had a clean 6.2.5 install at a PowerDNN site. I downloaded the DNN7RC Upgrade package and applied that to the 6.2.5 install.

The upgrade went without a hitch.

On clicking "Edit Page" I now get a windows standard Windows Authorization popup asking for a username and password.

This is what appears in the log4net log.resources file after I edited the config file to:
I recycled the Application Pool, too.

This doesn't look particularly helpful.
