This would be not a simple process and could not be answered without to know the details of the old Forum system.

The DNN Forums used a MS SQL Server Database, the DNN database and creates on the install difficould Tables, Views, Procedures and Functions. where it stored the Forums content.

If the old Forum is not using a MS SQL Server you need a Provider to connect DNN to the Database where the old Forum stored the Content.

Then you Need to create a T-SQL Script where the data from the old Forum are selected and read and transformed the Content into the new Forums Tables on the DNN Database.

Then the T-SQL script could be run over DNN instance or if you want run it direct on the MS SQL Server you can create the T-SQL script on the MS SQL Management Studio and run it.

Shanoj C P,

yes - and most propably, you will have to remap the user ids to the new DNN site (implied that all the users of the old system are users of the new system as well...)

Best wishes
Michael
