Hi folks,

I installed a fresh copy of 4.3 the other day without any problems. It was only when I wanted to browse the data in the various tables when I noticed a problem. The installation didn't actually every even speak to my SQL Server Express 2005 database - instead it seems to have used a file in the App_Data folder.

So I thought, well... what I'll do is I'll recreate the database but  setup the files in the App_Data folder then configure the web.config file to point to the database file in there... hey guess what.... it didn't work...

Am I missing something here? How does setup the web.config to actually speak to SQL Express 2005?

Any help much appreciated,

cheers

Baronne

This is a new feature of SQL server 2005 if you want legacy behavior you have to set up DNN as if you were using SQL server 2000

Edit your Skin.xml and Container.xml files with:
