I host a number of DNN websites, but two are causing issues. One site is running 6.1.3 the other 6.1.4 and both use more than their fair share of both memory (excesss of 800mb each) and CPU (75 to 80%) to deliver pages. Both were upgrades from 5.6.3, the other sites remain on 5.6.3.

Logging into the 6.1.3 site can take up to 2 minutes and often restarts the application. Before I try to upgrade I'd like to know if these issues have been addresses and which upgrades address them. Other posts that I've read don't appear to provide a solution, I'm hoping I missed something.

Are there configuation changes I can make?

What are the recommended performance settings?

Thanks

Depending of cource their size and their daily traffic, it is not normal.

And i don't see that in any of my DNN 6.1.x websites.

You better find the cause of it. 3rd party modules ? DB size ?

Is that a hosted (shared) plan ?

Solved... the Module Cache Provider was set to memory. Once I set it to File the performance improved immediately.

... and that means that your IIS memory pool is short of memory....

Which leads me to a question...

How are memory resources allocated among pools.

I have some sites that demand more memory because of the content and usage. Is it better to give each one of those sites its own pool? And place the lower demand sites into a few pools?

Or should each site have its own pool?
What do you do?

Thanks,
