No, that's not right. You shouldn't have to do that. I'd try and contact them directly. They will generally help you out if you can figure out how to get their attention.

Good deal. They claim they are still working on a 3.0 version with social integration. That would be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, I think it was supposed to be a skin object that comes up out of the bottom of the screen like Facebook or the dating sites.
