Hi

I'm using DNN 6.2.6 which installs with DarkKnight skin and there's no option to not install it.

I have the skins set to my own skin and Host and Admin settings, have cleared the recycle Bin but there is still no red uninstall cross icon In Host extensions to uninstall the DarkKnight skin.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

The way DarkKnight is installed the easiest way to remove it is to simple Delete the portals/skins/DarkKnight folder, but you should also check to make sure no pages on any portals are using it before you do that.

I was having problems unistalling the default skins that came with DNN 7 as well.

So i followed you guidance and removed the skin from the _default folder. This was only after I triple confirmed that neither the skins nor containers were being used anywhere on the host or sites.

Now when i try to use the site template feature and create a new child portal, it is throwing errors saying that it is trying to find the DarkKnight skin files.

So i moved the DarkKnight back into the _default folder and now the template feature works.

Can you please give me a HOST SQL script that I can run so that it will show we where the DarkKnight might still be in the application?

This would be a huge help!!!!! I am delayed on a project that this is holding up.

Thank you.

You'll want to either:

- Create your own template that you use for creating new portals that does NOT use the DarkKnight skin

- Modify the existing portal template and change which skin and container is used

Once you've done that, you can create new portals without any problems.
