I would like to know if the Active Forums module found here https://activeforums.codeplex.com/ has been used by anyone. This will be placed on a charity website which deals with medical patients. This needs to be stable. I have not been able to find much feedback on Active Forums 5.0.2

Is there a way to make the forum 100% PRIVATE ? Free of any crawlers picking up articles/statements and posting to the web? This group wants to keep all of their information private.

Can anyone offer feedback? Also, I am running DNN 6.2.6

Thanks

I'm testing it but for an internal site. It's been stable for me so far.

As far as making it private, you can add a robots.txt file to your site that'll tell search engines not to index it.

In order to make it private you can as well set the page view permissions to registered users only (or whatever group you want).

Best wishes
Michael

Michael, will this keep search engines from indexing the pages?

Thanks

Mark, thank you. How does one do this? I am not all that savvy. Can you clarify?

Thanks
