i upgrades from 6.2.6 to 7.0.4 but with the new control bar i can't change to the edit mode.
i click on the button but nothing happens. i have to change to the ribbon bar then i could change to the edito mode.

second problem:
i can't move any modul to a other pane. 
when i drag a module to a new pane i see it correctly but after refreshing the page the module is at the old pane again.

i have noo error message at the event viewer.

has anyone an idea what's wrong with my installation.

We are experiencing the same issue.  The strange part is on our development server we upgraded from 6 to 7 then to 7.04 and edit page button works.  We upgraded from a version of 6 to 7.04 in production and the edit button does not work at all.

We've compared settings and web configs but cant find a difference.

Desperate for help

well, patently this forum also needs work, as editing a post breaks everything, so adding this as another post

There's a workaround where you go into settings and change from control bar to ribbon bar

And the third one is adding to your webconfig

my hosting provider installed this security release: Might be IIS - try this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/980368

and i upgraded to dnn 7.0.4 but the errors are still here.

i changed the control panel to the ribbon bar, that's not the real problem, but the moving of the moduels doesn't work and this doesn't depend to the control bar.

i'm not the only one who has this two problems.
this only happend at dnn installation which i upgraded from 5.x or 6.x to 7.x
