>> I am still using the NETWORK SERVICE account with Full Permissions. Is that OK?
I use ApplicationPoolIdentity ...
For Windows 7 or Windows 2008R2 running IIS 7.5 you'll need to add the application pool ie; "IIS AppPool\{AppPoolName}" (without the quotes). The application pool should be given modify permissions. The application pool should be given modify permissions
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...

I may have changed permission on database, I can't remember ... but now that you mention it, I seem to recall something about permission. Perhaps if you tell me what they are saying about permission, I can check mine. I'm using SQL2008.

As you guessed, I'm far from an expert on DNN, so if anyone else wants to jump in ... But I know how frustrating it is when you just need a little help ...

You provided a link to the instructions. But in that link the part about adding the IIS AppPool is under the SQL User Security in section 14. So I am confused as to whether I am adding the IIS AppPool to the SQL Security or File Permissions? It also speaks to adding the Network Service account to the SQL Security. I did this part but cannot get SQL to recognize the AppPool. I did add the AppPool in the security for the File permissions. I did set the AppPool to run under AppPoolIdentity. I did briefly get an IIS error, but that was before I added the AppPool to the file permissions. Once I did that I am back to the same errors I was getting when everything was configured for NETWORK SERVICE.
