I am running the Community version 6.2.3. I have noticed that from the Easy DNN News module, when you view a document, I have it set to launch in a separate browser. What we have noticed is that you can copy the URL of what was launched and paste it into any browser, and it will allow you to see the document without having to be logged in to my portal.

Are there security settings I can put in place, either through the portal or in IIS so that you have to be logged in to view that? If you try and copy a URL to another browser, it will prompt you to log in if you are not?

You need to make a Secure folder, put those files in that folder and set the appropriate permissions. If the folder is set to Standard, anyone with a direct link to the file can access it despite any view permissions set in DNN.

I have quite a few documents on multiple portals. Can I do this at a higher level? What would the permissions need to be set too?
