Hi,

I want my site to support several user roles, such as registered and subscriber. I want to keep custom data about each role in my own SQL server database. I also want to use an email activation scheme.

Can I do this with the default DNN framework or do I need to buy a module and or write a custom providor.

Thanks,

You would need to create your own modules to control this sort of functionality completely.

Is this type of functioanlity completely roll your own or are there hooks in the DNN framework that would help?

Hi

Using dotnetnuke super user functionality you can manage users, roles and give access of modules/ pages to specific roles. But if you want to manage this in a specific way then either you can find existing third party modules from dotnetnuke store (store.dotnetnuke.com) or you need to develop your custom module.

Thanks
