As its mentioned before not possible with the links module. You could do this by modifying your skin and add a drrmenu that shows the active children and then template this the way you want. If you use XSL template then you would need to use @title instead of @text

Sometimes the solution is to find a module that has the desired function - in this case, you can use Ventrian Child Links, which has extensive templating options, and one of the options is to use [TITLE] instead of [NAME].
