Hi,

I did a several searches on the above and didn't locate anything, so I'm hoping someone can help me out. We're in final development stages for a site using DNN 7.0.4 on a host server without source code. We just started getting flashes whenever a page changes. For example, click on the "About" menu item and you get a white flash before the screen updates with the new page. Any idea what causes this or better yet how to get rid of it? BTW, we're getting this from several different computers, so we don't believe it's a local issue. This is not a terribly complicated site with lots of pages, but it does use the DNN store module.

Any suggestions or solutions to try would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Larry

Hi,

Are you facing this problem in all the browsers or in any specific browser only?

Thanks,

Hi Avinash,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. It looks like its an issue with IE9, Firefox was didn't exhibit that behavior. Any ideas what it is?

Cheers,
Larry

The source of the problem seems to be that the background image is updated first causing the flash and then the skin updates. In site settings, the background image is set to None. The skin itself does not provide for a background image and uses a single color for the background. I did change the site settings to use a background image and sure enough it flashes up first and is then overrridden by the skin. Since this is only occurring with IE9 (haven't tried any other IE version), is it a setting somewhere in IE or is it the skin or something else?

Cheers,
Larry
