I have created a portal, but set up permanent redirect to another URL to give me some time to work on the site.  Now I want to work on the pages in the new portal, I can't open them as they always redirect.  I have checked the portal home tab fields I thought would control that - permanent redirect and URL. but they are false and blank respectively and no other tabs are set to redirect.

How can I access the new portal pages to cancel the redirect.

Where did you enter permanent redirect? In IIS website it should be easy to remove, if your specified a different Website Alias, you may edit it in the database, table "Portals" or "PortalAlias". Any change directly in the database requires an app restart to become effective.

I have just restarted the application and now everything seems to have flipped back into line.
Thanks for that bit of info.

When you have set a redirect in page settings, it's easy to get at via the front end (and safer than playing in the db) - go to Admin -> Page Management, browse to the page on the tree, right click and select Page Settings - it will open the page settings pop up without redirecting.
