For a recent project, the design team has given me a design which incorporates content (in our case some feature books in one section, and some news articles in another) into the Navigation Mega-Menu. I've search around a bit, and I'd like to know if there's a way to do this with the default DDR Mega Menu, or if this sort of thing absolutely requires the purchase of a third party solution. If so, are there any products that integrate well with easyDNNNews? As that's a heavily used module on this new site.

Zach,

Please correct me if am wrong, Are you trying to add static content into your ddr menu...?

Cheers..!!!

Hi,

Amit, I am actually looking to populate the menu with Dynamic content (in that Marketing wishes to be able to change it at will). And sadly, I've never really seen this done before, and that's what has left me particularly confused.

Sunil, thank you for that link. It sounds like the Razor based templates are the way to go then. I'll see if I can work out a prototype and post back with my results.

Thank you both for taking the time to respond.

AFAIK you can also load extra XML for the xslt template of DDR.
In that case you load the xml of the articles from for instance Ventrian News and get them into the menu...
When you do the books with the same module you should be able to get this working. :-)
BTW image can also be injected in the menu by using the large page icon.., I use that a lot..
Another solution would be to use the reports module to create xml and merge that.

HTH
