Hi,

normally there is no need to install the source package. If you want to develop your own modules and/or skins and/or other extensions, the normal install package is enough.

Thanks Michael, enabling ASP.Net did the trick for me. An interesting gotcha in Win8Pro

Are you going to install the source version of DNN? I would not recommend that, to be able to develop modules/skins/other extensions, it is definitely not needed.
Sorry, did not realize that there is already a page 3...
