Joost,

OK, I understand. Yes, Outlook has an RSS reader integrated, and you can subscribe to an RSS feed (by entering the feed's Url basically). That's correct. But RSS is not Email, and the RSS reader needs to check from time to time if there is something new, then it downloads the new items and displays them from the downlaoded data.

To be true, I never used Outlook for reading RSS syndications, but there must be some options on how often a feed gets synchronized. You will see the new items after the Search Indexer has indexed them in DNN and then Outlook has synchronized the feed.

Do you see the new items if you click on the RSS symbol in the module container? If yes, then they are here, but Outlook has not syncronized them yet. If no, the problem is somewhere else at the moment...

Best wishes
Michael

In the properties of the Outlook RSS-channel it says that its last synchronisation was less than half an hour ago. So the problem's not there I guess.

And when I click the RSS symbol I see the XML of the Form&List module, including the added items. Here's the start of it (anonimised):

<rss version="2.0">

Joost,

could you please try another reader? There is one in Internet Explorer (in the bookmarks), or use a Newsfeed module in DNN. Does this display the items correctly?

Best wishes
Michael

Maybe it has something to do with the localization?!

I was searching to answer your questions and discovered the following:
When I type in the RSS-adres in IE I get the following results:
http://***.nl/****/1804/RSS.aspx: 1 basic result
http://***.nl/****/1804/language/nl-NL/RSS.aspx: 2 update results
http://***.nl/****/1804/nl-NL/RSS.aspx: 15 results

This looks like I'm getting somewhere. However, even when using the last URL, in Outlook I'm only receiving 1 basic item, no updates.

Joost,

sorry, I was off for the weekend - did you find a solution in the meantime?

Best wishes
