thanx VashJuan..

i'll try this..

but when i make any editing on Site Setting this message appear to me:

Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.PortalManagement.SiteSettings.cmdUpdate_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) in C:\DotNetNuke\admin\Portal\SiteSettings.ascx.vb:line 857 --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

whats this problem?

Hrm... that's a bit outside my range as well, hopefully Nina will catch a glimpse, as I haven't seen a question she couldn't answer yet :)

Ha SilentBob - you have no idea how big my list of.. how do I do that and why is it so? questions..

Here, I have to ask a few things though since if you get these generic errors, a bit more information is required.

  • what are you editing on your site settings?
  • what did you change?
  • how did you upload/install it?

Also, I've got a few free skins which have extra panes in them, and you could look at them and see how the panes are created if you find the advice given by the others doesn't help.

Dear Samoor

Try the following thinks:

Go to Site Settings
Set Portal Skin to <not specified>
Set Admin Skin to <not specified>
Set Portal Container to <not specified>
Set Admin Container to <not specified>

Go to page settings
Set for all the pages where you've used your new skin and containers
Advanced settings
Page skin <not specified>
Page container to <not specified>

Go to admin skins
Delete the skin and the container which give a error.
Delete again when it is not deleted...

Check with File Manager if all the skins and containers are deleted which give a error...
Try again.
Perhaps the error disappear...

Rebuild your skin and containers and eliminate all what is not write, make it working...
Perhaps this will help
