It's kind of annoying.
The text color and the background are both red. I have tried to check the default.css and found the following code:

        bottom: 95%;right: 12%;
        width:200px;
        margin-bottom:0;

        color:#fff;
        text-align:left;
    }

I think the color should be white. However, something rewrites the code to become the following:

<span id="dnn_ctr960_ManageUsers_User_ComparePasswordsValidator" class="dnnFormMessage dnnFormError" style="color: red; display: inline;">The Password and Confirmation Password must match</span>

Yup, I have tried other skins and the style settings are still there.

I have also looked into the user.ascx and found the folloing code untouched:

Just cannot figure out where the style settings came out.

That's an in-time solution. I appreciate that.

Since DNN is an open source project, I think there is nothing left behind the "core code". I am on 7.0.6 and would like to find out what would have produced that style.
