I built a website in a previous version of DNN CE (6.something) and then upgraded it to 7.01. Since upgrading the site, I am experiencing the following issue. I can enter Edit Mode and enter the Edit Content dialog for my Text/HTML modules, but cannot save any changes. When I attempt to save, I get the "spinning wheel" for 30-60 seconds, and then it stops but the Edit Content dialog does not close. If I click Preview my changes appear in the window, but no matter how many times I click Save the same thing happens. I have to click Cancel or X to close the Edit Content dialog.

Then, as long as I remain in Edit Mode, I can see my changes to the text/HTML module on the page. But once I exit out of Edit Mode, the previous version of the module's content is displayed.

I have searched for answers to this issue, and one of the common suggestions is to make sure I am using the new "RadEditor" HTML editor instead of the old FCK editor. I have checked my sites's Host Settings under HTML Editor Manager, and it is set to use the RadEditor.

I can get around this issue by deleting the offending Text/HTML modules, placing a new module on the page, and dropping my content. The new module will allow me to save changes with no problems... for a while. Eventually, the new module becomes uneditable as well.

I need to find a solution to this issue; my client must be able to edit and save changes to content in Text/HTML modules once the site is launched.

Did you figure anything out with this? We have had a few staff say that they can't save and been trying to figure out what could be going on. I am not seeing any error messages.

My guess is wrong version of jQuery. Are you using hosted jQuery? Is it the same version as DNN wants?

Best wishes,

It turned out that my problem had nothing to do with the version upgrade. I had accidentally added cache files to source control during one of our deployments from dev to test. I went in and deleted all of the cache files and it resolved the problem.

We are using the 7.0.6 version it is asking for as in the hosted jQuery. Thanks for the idea. I thought it was something to do with the style but today I can recreate the issue. It seemed to only work when you clicked on the word "Save" vs next to it.
