has there been any error reported during execution of the upgrade?

There have been attempts where when trying to browse the site on the local server after attempting upgrade, it said "DotNetNuke Error" but showed no details.
Now when I am trying to install the upgrade, either 7.0.4 or 7.1.1, it doesn't show the upgrade scripts running. I just get a blank page.
When I then try to browse, the site comes up, but I cannot log in. In 7.1.1, the login window comes up but no fields to enter username/password (shown in the image in this thread). In 7.0.4, I can enter my username/password, but the login doesn't complete and shows "critical error" I can't see the error because I can't log in.

I am having same issue any luck with fixing blank page on upgrade http://arcel.brainyyack.net/install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade

 Blank pange I have sean on missconfiguration the SQL Server and on permission issues.  Also run the applicationpool only with 32bit mode disabled and use integrated mode.
