Did an upgrade to DNN 712 without any problem except for the search. Search doesn't show any results at all.
Error in Logviewer:
Search indexing directory is either empty or does not exist

I also noticed in other upgrades to DNN712 that sometimes you have to manually enable search in pages (searchresults settings). The checkbox "Pages" initially isn't enabled.

does you site have a App_Data\Search folder? If it does exist can you check it via luke (http://code.google.com/p/luke/) and see if the index returns results or has been corrupted somehow? Does kicking off a full site reindex fix the issue?

Hi,

I'm getting the same error on a clear 7.2.0 (beta) install. The "AppData/Search" folder did NOT exist so I created it. Still having the same error.
Anyway to get the search configured correctly?

thanks!
Chris

there is no configuration required, the folders/index will be created automatically - please check your permissions (i.e. the user the application pool the website is in has read, write and modify permissions
