I'm having the exact same issue. I will start by trying to upgrade the Telerik controls first, then apply the upgrade.

I got this working by rolling back the first installation. Verify that you have  no permissions issues, make sure you unblock the ZIP file before extracting. The second install worked fine for me.

Hi Lucas

How did you roll back the first installation? Did you use a backup, or copy the previous upgrade files over and install?

Hi B,

after failed install you have to restore database and files from previous done backup.  Then delete all zip files from the folders you can find on Folders in the Install Folder.  Then run the site, if it worked well extract all files from the upgrade package to your dnn root (do not Forget to have the zip file unblocked !) .  Then run the Upgrade.

Be sure you have proper set the permissions for annonymous and application pool user and inherit them to all subfolders and files.  Be sure the compatibility Level of the database is on SQL Server 2008 (100) or higher.

Copying the previous versions files over the live site won't work. You need to have a full database and file backup and completely restore. The alternative is a pain you cannot imagine.
