After repeated failures to auto-upgrade from 6.1.2 to 7.1.1 I had my hosting company upgrade the files and Iupgraded the database by running the scripts manually.  That completed, I browse to my site but see "Could not load file or assembly 'FiftyOne.Foundation, Version=2.1.15.1"

Any clues?

The full stack trace:

Here is your error: Exception: Could not load file or assembly 'FiftyOne.Foundation, Version=2.1.15.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. Hi,

Found FiftyOne.Foundation.dll file on your Bin/Provider Folder and check the file Version on advanced Settings.  If the file is missing the Upgrades are not done well and files are missing!

Open Web.config file, found and update the Version of 'FiftyOne.Foundation, Version=2.1.15.1" to the Version you found on the advanced Setting on the FiftyOne.Foundation.dll file.

I don't see a version number associated to FiftyOne in web.config. Also on the 7.1.1 Install version I see bin\Providers\DotNetNuke.Providers.FiftyOneClientCapabilityProvider.dll but I don't see FiftyOne.Foundation.dll. Is it a required assembly or an extension?

FiftyOne.Foundation.dll is part of the DNN Core Packages.  It is also includet on the upgradepackages if it is changed.  So it Looks as the Upgrade or install package didn't extract all fles about the zip package wasn't unblocked after download.

You can try to readd the missing file by uploading it via FTP from an extracted install package.

Be sure your instance is on Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 or higher.

Basicly I would restore files and database ,using previous done backup, to the Version before the instance was upgraded.  Download the upgrade package localy, unblock the zip file and extract all files to a Folder.  Then checking database compatibility Level ( see on Blog) and upgrade it if it needed.  After this check the permissions and IIS settings of your DNN instance and be sure your permissions are inherit to all subfolders and files.  Uploading extracted files and perform the upgrde of your instance.
