I'm starting over... I set up a new installation of DNN 7.00.06 (The version running on my old server). I have restored the Database from a backup made from that server. I am currently migrating physical files. Once done, I'll try and step my way through and see if I can figure out the problem.

I'm very frustrated.

Now I'm getting a 500 Internal Server error on the new one when I first try to even access it. I can't seem to get the DB user that came over in my Backup that has all the Stored procedures associated with it to link to the login that DNN is using to connect to the DB. Not sure how I got to happen on the other one or if I did right... maybe that's why the other one isn't working properly. I have now idea.

Can anyone point me to detailed instructions for migrating from one server to another.... I'm going from Windows 2003 with SQL2005 to Windows 2012 with SQL2012... Thanks.

I found the sp_change_users_login which allowed me to relink the login to the user. Hopefully that will help.

OK... so I did the following:

1)Setup IIS and Physically moved DNN Installation to new server.
2)Setup New DB and restored backup from old server.
3)Relinked SQL Login with DB User with sp_change_users_login.
4)Tested sites... initial problem not presenting itself.
5)Made sure DB was set to 110 Compatibility
6)Attempted upgrade to 7.1.2.

It erred at "78% Installing Module - DNN_DNN_Events_05.00.01_install.zip"

Update never finishes. A refresh shows the DB at the new version but it will error again at the same point. Going to the website now gives Internal Server error.
