I'm somehow stuck with a corrupted user-management. I get the following error when I try to autheticate a new user:

When I create a new user I get a similar error:

When I try to delete the user I get no error. It just does not work. The user is still there. The same is true for "Delete Unauthorized Users".

I'm using DNN 4.0.3. Can anyone please help.

either the mail for the User is not in the correct format, or the mail from the admin user is not in the correct format. Make sure at least the admin mail address is correct, otherwise, it cannot be used as from address in the mails that are sent

Indeed I had some admin-accounts with an invalid email. Now I checked all users and all of them have an valid and existing email-address.

Unfortunately I still get an error when I try to authorize a user.

Do I miss a place where emails can be provided? I checked "Admin/User Accounts" and "Host/Superuser Account".

Also deleting users still does not work. Still no error, it just does nothing (at least nothing that I can see).

Thanks for your help.

The error can be in any of the parameters passed to the sendmail method. Did you check the smtp settings in Host> host settings? The smpt server should point to an existing smtp server that allows you to connect and send mail.

The SMTP is working. I was able to send a testmail from the configuration.
