nothing leaps to mind I'm afraid - you're welcome to log it as an enhancement request to support.dnnsoftware.com , but as it's a bit of an edge case I'm not sure when/if we would get much of a chance to look into it further.

Hi Cathal,

Would it be feasible to turn off the dnnActions similar to how we could turn off the inline editing?
We could compensate for this by adding in DNN actions into our containers, what are your thoughts?

Regards,
Jeff

Sorry for the late reply, I have been on holiday

This used to be easier as there was an actions control in the containers, but AFAIR we removed that requirement (as people often forgot) and inject one automatically

I guess you could amend the html module code and replace the IActionable interface definition e.g. something such as this would return no actions - hopefully the code would then not render the action menu, though I haven't tested this

public DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.Actions.ModuleActionCollection ModuleActions

{

    get

    {

        return new DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.Actions.ModuleActionCollection();

    }

}

Hi Seth, I am running 7.3.4 and found myself having to create a page with many HTML only moduless - loads fast in view but so slow to render in edit mode. I have more than 50 modules on a page. Anyone else experiencing this?

You might want to try installing Revindex Optimizer (it's fully functional and FREE). It will speed up your DNN pages by up to 50% by shrinking your ViewState to almost nothing. After adding the module, just enable it and select a storage type (e.g. Memory type) and your entire DNN pages will be optimized. You can enable the Page Trace and you'll see how much your ViewState is shrunked and compressed. You'll immediately notice faster page downloads and even faster form submissions where ViewState usually hurts the most. Best of all, it's FREE software ...just leave us a friendly review on DNN Store if it helped your site :)
