Hello,

We have one page with quite a few modules. We would like to hide those modules, but in edit mode, it is virtually impossible to do anything (very slow, timeouts, crashes). I've looked around in the database and I was able to track down the modules in the TabModules and Modules tables. What exactly do I need to change in the DB to hide them and completely bypassing the GUI?

Thanks!

PS: Why is it so processor intensive when OKing module settings window?

Settings might be very slow, if there are many files in top level folder of your website directory (/portals/0 by default) or, if an icon is assigned, in the icon folder - because DNN retrieves the list of files and file data for each of it from the database.
You also should make sure, eventlog and schedulehistory tables don't contain more than a few hundreds of items.
If you are running DNN 7.2.x, you may also try applying my turbo script, attached to https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow..., please read documentation on top of the files.
To hide a module from a tab you need either delete the tabmodule item or remove "inherit permission" and delete permissions from table ModulePermissions - but you should be very clear, what you are doing. There might be a chance to edit permissions in Admin > Pages, I haven't tried that.
