@Roy. I'm not taking a pop at you. Just adding that the only error message is the word ERROR and I looked her, here, and here to see if I could find log files give a LOT more information. Thanks for the expansion.

Just a thought.. when you copied the upgrade zip file to your server did you right click and confirm there's no Windows permissions block on the bottom right of the 1st tab?

Nothing else? Issue still exists for ANY zip file left in the install folder....upgrade just fails...

I only got issues with three JS packages, all same Version as already installed by DNN 7.2.1, which might be safely ignored.
