removing the js zips from the install folder results in jQuery on my sites failing to load completely. Might be the same version but something is breaking jQuery processing and I have no clue how to fix it.

Staying on 7.2.1 until someone finds and fixes the issues...

after extensive (and painful) debugging this issue was found to not be a core problem, but an issue introduced by users who have ran the so-called "turbodnn" scripts. These incorrectly replace a core stored procedure with an old version which causes the issue - see https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow... for more background and a workaround

Please note, running a script provided by a 3rd party that does direct database updates to core tables and stored procedures is not wise as any issue with the script can (and in this case does) break functionality.

the cause of the issue is not just the turbo script, but a buggy stored procedure in the core framework, which need to be fixed.
I apologize, that I didn't have the chance to test all parameter combinations being used. Next version will be more defensive,
Currently, I tend to add more and more constraints to the database to avoid unexpected data, which might cause issue at any time.

just to be clear - the "72% with jQuerymigrate.zip error " error that this post discusses is caused by an old version of a stored procedure being installed by the "turbo" sql script - the issue Sebastian mentions involves the same stored procedure but it does not cause this issue -we still have to investigate and validate if Sebastian's discovery is true, and if so fix it, but it does not cause an upgrade error.

That was some serious debugging!  Reverting to the suggested SP resolved my upgrade issues 100%.

I kick myself for introducing the error by running the scripts but at the same time, something has to be done to improve the overall performance of DNN.  Would not have considered the turbo scripts if I wasn't constantly bombarded by speed complaints from customers/site visitors.

Hopefully 7.3 will be a step in the right direction...have to hope!

thanks again for all of your help...
