I am just starting with DNN.  Want to be clear on what it is and is capable of, independently of Microsoft's Web Matrix.  On dnnsoftware.com's download page ( http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community/download ), I selected "standard process".  I avoided the "Web Matrix" button.  I still was taken to Microsoft's website, and the download launched me into Web Matrix when done. This confuses me.

Now I am staring at a Microsoft WebMatrix window, that says it is for making dotnetnuke websites. That is nice, but it wasn't what I wanted to evaluate. So, what does dotnetnuke look like WITHOUT WebMatrix?  Or is that no longer a meaningful question, in which case why did the download page have two buttons, one of which purported NOT to be WebMatrix based?

you may download DNN platform package from DotNetNuke.codeplex.com and install yourself.
