Andrew,

 - Click the "Show custom editor options for this instance" checkbox

 - As "Setting Type" click the "Module" radio button

 - Specify 550px as "Force Width", and 400px as "Force Height"

 - Be sure "Module" is selected in the "Apply Custom settings to" drop down list

 - Click the "Apply" link

Just a preference thing, but we also limit the DNNDefault toolbar set to Admins, and leave NoGallery for users.

How can i adjust the width and hieght of the TextEditor in the ManageProfile area, as you can see below, I am using the fckeditor and there is no way for my users to be able to see what they are doing.

I would like that to be at least 550 wide and 400 tall. but i have not figured out how to make it do that.

Followed the instructions step by step.  After click on Apply button, got a JavaScript prompt "Apply Custom Values?"  Select OK and saw the error:

The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

Please try the following:

  • Click the refresh.gif (82 bytes) Refresh button, or try again later.
  • If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.
  • To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
  • See if your Internet connection settings are being detected. You can set Microsoft Windows to examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings (if your network administrator has enabled this setting).
    1. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.
    2. On the Connections tab, click LAN Settings.
    3. Select Automatically detect settings, and then click OK.

In the tool bar address, it has:   __doPostBack('fckinstanceoptions$cmdUpdate','')

I use DotNetNuke 3.2.2.

Please advise

Hello there.

I was hoping to get some clarification on the last comment as I am having this same error.  After changing the width and height properties I receive the same 404 error.  I do not understand where to put the "<base target="_self"> tag.  In the options area of the FCKeditor?  If so which field...

Thanks much! :)

Hi, I also noticed that if i'm using the FCKEditor, the text for the biography does not get saved to the db.  If use the FTB, it works fine.

Thanks,
Andrew

I am having the same difficulty.  Even though I can adjust the size of a rich text field so the FCKEditor displays properly, the data is not being saved.  I even tried adding a new rich text field, same thing.  Does anyone have the solution for the data save issue?
