Hello Sebastian

After upgrade from 7.00.05 to 7.3.3 I have a user role problem ... Superuser is perfect, but site admin (administrator role) is a problem.  I can log in as admin and see everything, but if I do anything - such as open editing - immediately get a pop-up requesting a login and password for authentication.  I ran your script successfully against the database, but the problem continues.  Any more ideas?  I do not have direct access to the SQL server or the management console - we're on Winhost.

Chester, this sounds like an issue with IIS authetication - are you getting a DNN popup or a Windows/browser popup?

Cheers from Germany,

Sebastian - you may be on to something here.  The message is in an odd-looking plain box and the message is:

Is this the IIS server?  It only is behaving this way after the upgrade.  Any advice how to proceed?

THanks - Chester Phillips

this Looks like a server message and points to an issue in IIS configuration or file system permission on the server.

Cheers from Germany,
