Hi, I'm using 6.1.5 and a site admin user is having problems changing user's passwords.

The user has edit permission on the users module on that page and previously could change passwords for users however since upgrading to this version only I can do that task logged in as Host.

I know this functionality has been removed in v.7 but I'm assuming this should still work in v.6. In the edit user popup when the user tries to update a password no error/feedback is shown, it just doesn't do it!

Could anyone suggest a way around this please, I assume this is a bug?

Thanks

Rob

it sounds like a bug, but won't be fixed, as the function has been removed in subsequent versions of DNN.
You may use UserAccountManagement (https://github.com/DNN-Connect/UserAc...) with DNN 7.

Thanks Sebastian -
I've done a successful test upgrade to 7.3.2 but as HOST or Site Administrator the change password functionality is still there on the User Accounts Module, Edit User popup, is this correct ?!
Also using 7.3.2 and logged in as a user who is not an admin but has edit permission on the User Accounts module I get
"You are not authorized to edit this user. " when I click edit - this is also a new restriction.
Is this a bug, or is there now no way to edit a user account unless the logged in user is in the Administrator's role?

Thanks again,
Rob
